Our History

Heritage Baptist Church began on December 4 1983, in a rented house on Lousiana Street in Center Texas.

Walnut Street Baptist Church in Hillsboro Texas, was the sponsoring work for Heritage.

A search was begun for land, and God provided the opportunity to purchase 3 acres on the corner of

Highway 87 and Loop 500.

In January 1985, temporary facilities were placed on the property for services to begin.   This facility housed

worshippers until September 1986, when a new building was completed.

For over 25 years the gospel of Jesus Christ has been proclaimed, and lives have been changed.  

Some methods have changed over the years, but the good news of Jesus Christ has not and will not ever

be changed, because it is the only hope of our lives.
