How to secure your future
There are some events in life that seem to go on forever: waiting for the traffic light to turn green when you're late for work, or waiting in the "express" checkout at the grocery store when the person in front of you doesn't understand the phrase "10 items or less".
While these times do not last forever, eternal life does. Jesus said, "For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. (read John 10:10). However there is a problem, and that is man is sinful. People cannot know and experience God's love and plan for their lives. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Falling short of the standards of God has a price. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord".
Jesus Christ is God's ONLY provision for sin. Your future is only secure through Jesus, there is no other way. Jesus said " I am the way the truth, and the life. No one can come the Father except through me"(John 14:6).
Romans 5:8 says that "while we were still sinners Jesus died just for us". After Jesus died and was buried, He was raised from the dead. He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve disciples. After that, He was seen by more than 500 of His followers at one time.......then he was seen by James and later by all the apostles. (see I Corinthians 15:3-7). Thus proving it wasn't a hoax or a lie.
God has provided the only way to eternal life....each person must make a choice. You can't work hard enough for it, you can't buy it, you can't be good enough to get it.
You have to admit to God you are a sinner and can't meet His standards on your own. You invite Jesus into your life and trust only in Him to be your Lord and Savior.
Romans 10:9 says "If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved".
You can do this right now where you are, you don't have to be in a church. Pray to God now, don't put it off, He is waiting to help you right now.
We don't have a guarantee that we will live another minute. If you choose to do it your own way, you will spent eternity away from God. He doesn't want that to happen.
He has provided the way, it is up to you to make that choice. You can change your life and your future forever.
